ArcPad allows the use of the GIS directly on the field. Compatible with ArcGIS Desktop (ArcMap) and ArcView GIS 3.3, ArcPad is a mobile solution for navigation, capture and update of your geographic data, quickly and easily.

 

Tools and extensions are present in ArcMap and ArcView GIS 3.3 to quickly export data (check out) and maps to devices and then import them (check in), once input or updates operations have been made.

 

Operating in environments Windows XP, Vista, 7 and especially Windows mobile (PDA instruments), ArcPad is intended as a lightweight platform that will connect your GPS to capture the position to create or edit map features. This GPS can be integrated with your device, or come from an external connection.
